FAQs

Press and hold the 'AQI' button for 2 seconds

Yes, although it's important to note this does not provide professional/laboratory grade results.

Because of the electrochemical design, some other gases may interfere with the readings. Alcohol (Ethanol) is a common example which can have a big impact.

All good, low-cost air quality monitors (including ours and those from other brands) use the same type of laser scattering sensors. These sensors are very good at detecting fine particles like PM2.5 (the pollutant most linked to health risks), but less precise when it comes to larger particles like PM10. That’s because PM10 particles are heavier and settle out of the air more quickly, making them harder to measure consistently indoors.

For that reason, we recommend relying mainly on the PM2.5 readings for an accurate picture of your air quality. PM10 measurements can still be useful for spotting trends or big changes (like dust events), but PM2.5 is the best indicator for day-to-day air quality and health.
