Can Your Air Purifiers Capture Nanoparticles?
Yes, our air purifiers are equipped with HEPA filters and can effectively filter out nanoparticles! While some brands claim that only their specific air purifiers can capture nanoparticles, this is not true. Any air purifier with a proper HEPA filter is capable of removing nanoparticles.
HEPA filters are typically rated for 99.97% efficiency against particles of 0.3 microns, which are much larger than nanoparticles. The 0.3-micron size is chosen as a standard because it represents a challenging size for filtration due to its behavior and size. Nanoparticles, which can be as small as 0.001 microns, move in random zigzag patterns known as Brownian Motion. This motion increases their likelihood of being captured by the filter fibers.
So, even though nanoparticles are smaller, HEPA filters are highly efficient at capturing them due to this principle. This makes our air purifiers highly effective at removing even the tiniest airborne particles, ensuring clean and safe air.
