Clean air should be simple. When we looked at the air purifier market in New Zealand, we found confusing claims, inflated prices, and flashy "smart" features that did little for the air you actually breathe.
Snap Air started to fix that. We don't build purifiers ourselves. We source and support the best ones: genuine, lab-tested products that deliver real results at fair prices.

Why we started
Honest numbers, gear that performs
New Zealand has plenty of air purifiers, but very little honesty about what they actually do. Room-size claims are often wildly overstated, and "smart" features get more attention than airflow.
We wanted a simpler promise: tell people the real numbers, sell gear that performs, and stand behind it after the sale. That's the whole idea behind Snap Air.

I started Snap Air because the air quality space is genuinely confusing, and I wanted somewhere that gave clear, data-driven advice and products I'd happily use in my own home.
Most orders, questions and support messages still come straight to me. I'm here to help you find what actually works, not just what sells.

Snap Air is the authorised New Zealand distributor for Smart Air, a certified B-Corp and social enterprise. It began in Beijing in 2013, when Thomas Talhelm strapped a HEPA filter to a fan, measured the result with a particle counter, and shared the data openly. That simple, tested approach grew into a global clean air movement.
Their mission lines up with ours: challenge overpriced, over-marketed purifiers with transparent data and no-nonsense performance. Every purifier we sell has been independently tested for airflow and filtration, so you always know what you're getting.
