FAQs

All three monitors measure CO2, temperature, and humidity, with long battery life for portable use. The main differences are in connectivity, display type, and which setups they suit best:

  • Smart Air CO2 Monitor: Connects via Wi-Fi, making it ideal for remote monitoring across multiple locations. You can check live data from various sites through the cloud and QP app, which is perfect for schools, offices, or home users wanting to monitor air quality without being on-site. It features a simple LCD screen with no backlight, providing basic CO2 readings directly on the device.
  • Temtop C10 2nd Gen: Connects via Bluetooth to the Temtop app when you're on-site. It features a larger E-Ink display, which is easy to read from wide angles and in bright rooms. It’s well-suited for homes, classrooms, or small businesses where you want app tracking but don’t need Wi-Fi.
  • Temtop C1+: Also uses Bluetooth and has a compact design with a simple LCD screen (no backlight). It’s an affordable option for basic CO2 monitoring and comes with a magnetic back, so you can attach it to metal surfaces like fridges or shelves.

No, the C1+ uses a simple LCD screen with no backlight.

Hold the mode (cog symbol) button on top of the device for 2 seconds to change temperature unit.

The C1+ has two different operating modes when on battery. Performance mode will perform a CO2 reading every minute, whereas Eco will perform it once every 10 minutes. Performance mode will use more battery, 30 days life vs 70 days on Eco mode.

To switch between them, click the mode button (cog symbol) on top of the monitor.

The CO2 sensor on the C1+ is auto calibrated. Provided it is exposed to fresh air, or in a room unoccupied for awhile then this will be fine.

However, it also supports the option to manually calibrate. To do this:

  1. Place it outside or by a fresh air source, and keep it atleast 1m away from people and animals.
  2. Long press the mode (cog) and power buttons on top of the device.
  3. Wait for the 200 second countdown, then calibration is complete

Yes! With a long battery life, and Bluetooth connection to the app - the C1+ is designed to be used on the go. You can continue to monitor via the app wherever you are, provided the device is close enough to be connected to your phones Bluetooth.

No. because it only connects through Bluetooth, you'll need to be within Bluetooth connection range of the device. This range can vary depending on the environment, but it's typically 10-30m

Yes, it is designed to be plugged in continuously if that's preferred. This will ensure readings remain real-time. However it may mean the temperature sensor over reads slightly due to the heat produced when charging.
